Central Florida Health Care announced that their visit to their HRSA site was very successful. Although it is very rare to see a FQHC pass all 19 program requirements, Central Florida Health Care passed all HRSA 19 program requirements with no conditions. Now that this has happened, Central Florida Health Care will now be considered a highly functioning grantee. The HRSA Site visit team spent over 2 days reviewing all of their contracts, policies, procedures and numerous documents as well as visiting their Magnolia, Winter Haven and Haines City Clinics. They were very impressed with the clinic visits and the care that Central Florida Health Care provides their patients. They were also excited to see a teaching kitchen in an FQHC setting. The Site team encouraged the team at Central Florida Health Care to continue to track their outcomes and publish their research related to benefits of a teaching kitchen, which could be identified as best practice. The board members represented Central Florida Health Care with excellence and have been given great thanks for their support and taking time to attend all of the meetings with the HRSA site visit team.
“I am so proud of the work that we do every day to take care of our patients! More to come when we get our final report within the next month!” –Ann Claussen, Chief Executive Officer of Central Florida Health Care.
